One of the most difficult things about making over an interior space is being able to cut through the bottomless pit of design styles and hybrid design styles out there to first define our own personal style from which to work from.

The visual wonderland that is Instagram and the minefield that is Pinterest means we have unlimited access to design imagery, accessible 24/7, on tap, and while this should make the process easier, it can complicate matters.

Similarly, whilst design and renovation TV shows can be inspiring and eye-opening, they too can often do more harm than good when it comes to pinpointing an interior style that works for you, so in my column for Open Colleges I have laid down my tips for establishing your own interior style and you can read it here.

The Budge Club: The Rumpus Room Reveal & Resources Guide

Our green room/ TV room has become a favourite in our house. It sits in our brick tower with a loft bedroom above it. There’s something so cosy and inviting about sitting in a room with four walls (not open plan). I’ve REALLY layered the green in this space. I wanted it to feel calm, cohesive and […]
